This interesting hotel was great value as contrasted with other options. I liked comfy setting and generous-sized rooms. Splendid view, a big balcony, good bed, too. All staff were happy to help to make my stay extra special. The beach was spectacular.
everything here was cool, and the weather was warm sunny, loved it. rooftop bar and staff was polite. the location was relatively quiet close to the bars too. .
The lounge restaurant was nice with plenty of meals in the menu. Moreover, free Wi Fi was a nice addition.
A bit noisy street.
We thoroughly enjoyed the great atmosphere of the hotel. 20 mins walk to the center.
Except for the coffee (but they can't do that on the island in general...) the breakfast was excellent. The selection of additional combinations (e.g. scrambled eggs and salmon) was great.
Dreamlike, romantic, elegant hotel. We had a Superior De Luxe room with wonderful views, very quiet, large and spacious. We enjoyed the stay. We had booked the room without breakfast, as there are many possibilities in the city to have something light in the morning and we are not breakfast eaters. Dinner in the evening is highly recommended and you should treat yourself. Absolutely delicious!
Beautiful, first-class facilities, perfect location in a quiet quarter just a few minutes walk from the centre. Easy to reach by tram at Edinburgh Airport. Again and again gladly!
We spent our honeymoon there and felt good all around. The room was super cosy with a wonderful view, the breakfast room was also relaxing and since we don't like continental breakfast buffet so much, we were very satisfied. Every morning, one could choose freshly prepared dishes from a menu, including, of course, the Full Scottish Breakfast. The employees were all very nice and courteous.
Charming, stylish hotel. Very nice rooms. Breakfast was wonderful. This is a prime location. Most of the highlights are within walking distance.
Excellent Room & facilities.
Bed linen not changed for 3 days (hotel policy!!!) Many foreign staff who make too many mistakes when serving due to either poor English or lack of attention to detail. Need more training.
Comfortable, friendly, old style hotel in a very nice location near to the city centre. Also has a very good fine dining restaurant.
No safe in room and no air conditioning.
The Bonham is a very well run hotel, very friendly and unobtrusive. It's very clean also and the room we occupied was spacious and quiet, even though it overlooked the street and small park. Breakfast is very good.
Although there is a lounge area opposite Reception there is no bar. Even a small bar area would provide a focal point in the evenings. When we arrived it was very humid so we were disappointed to find that there was no airconditioning (although once we asked we were provided with an electric fan). Be careful to arrive on time for breakfast: service stops strictly at either 9.30 or 10am.
Good location, pleasant staff, sylish decoration in rooms and common parts, nice cooked breakfast, nice sitting/bar area.
Very cheap and uncomfortable mattress and pillows - in contrast with the luxurious and sylish decoration of the room. Average Continential breakfast.
The view from the superior room 308 was fantastic.
No bar facilities and the standard of the breakfast was quite poor. The food had become very dry before being served. Just how hard is it to cook a runny poached egg.
Warm welcome on arrival, nice sized room and really comfortable bed.
Breakfast was disappointing with the muffin of the Eggs Benedict I ordered completely burnt. The Scottish Breakfast was also poor.
